Hi, I'm Kara. I'm a lover of all things bright, colorful, and vintage. I've always been a bit of an unusual dresser, even six years of architecture school was not enough to to quell my quirkiness.
Here at Unusual Form, you'll find me mixing vintage and thrift finds into my work wardrobe in an attempt to dress professionally, but with personality. I'm a project manager at an architecture firm with a loose dress code. Just "no shorts or sandals". I can work with that.
"Unusual Form" describes the type of architecture and design I gravitate towards, thing that are a little different, things that have an "unusual form". This term also extends to my fashion philosophy. I look for clothing that is slightly different, perhaps with a compelling pattern or an interesting detail.
I would describe my style as quirky classic. I like mixing timeless basics like tweed blazers and pencil skirts with unexpected pieces like vintage florals or item that add a pop of color.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your time here at Unusual Form. If you have any questions or comments, drop me a line at: unusualform (at) gmail (dot) com.
